David chen, m.D., ph.D.
Instructor of Dermatology
Dr. David Chen graduated with a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan in 2003 and completed his honors thesis under the direction of Dr. Eric Fearon. He enrolled at Washington University School of Medicine Medical Scientist Training Program, earning an M.D. and Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology in 2012 under the direction of Dr. James Hsieh. Dr. Chen then completed an internship in internal medicine and residency in dermatology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in 2016 and was a fellow of the Oliver Langenberg Physician Scientist Training Program. He is currently pursuing postdoctoral research under the direction of Dr. Tim Ley, studying epigenetic regulation of skin and hair development.
Dr. Chen is an Instructor in Medicine in the Division of Dermatology and specializes in care of patients with melanoma and other cutaneous malignancies.
