Assistant Professor of Medicine (Dermatology)
Dr. Heather Jones is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Jones received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University, during which time she participated in the Global Health Scholars program.
Dr. Jones then completed an additional residency in Dermatology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University, where she served as Chief Resident and completed a Medical Dermatology Society Mentorship program under the mentorship of Dr. Ruth Ann Vleugels at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Jones' clinical interests include medical dermatology with a focus on autoimmune dermatology, or dermatology-rheumatology, with a particular interest in lupus erythematous, dermatomyositis and systemic sclerosis. She works closely with colleagues in the Rheumatology Division at Washington University to provide multidisciplinary care to patients with lupus erythematosus. Dr. Jones provides patient care at the Washington University-Ballas Road location as well as at the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM). She is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Dermatology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Medical Dermatology Society.
