Dr. Debra Scarlett is an Instructor of Dermatology at Washington University School of Medicine. She graduated from the Monmouth College and earned her medical degree at the Rush Medical College in Chicago. Dr. Scarlett performed her residency training at University of Michigan School of Medicine. Dr. Scarlett is certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
Dr. Scarlett spends her time primarily in clinical practice and teaching. Her research interests include mentorship and verruca vulgaris.
Dr. Scarlett is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Missouri Dermatologic Society, and the American Medical Association. She has lectured at local and national meetings, helped institute a Sun Protection & Skin Cancer Prevention Program, and coordinates the yearly skin cancer screening at Washington University. She is currently working on research regarding mentorship, leadership, and academic medicine, as well as, Bleomycin treatment in verruca vulgaris.
