History: 8 day old full term white female presented
with a vesicular eruption across the trunk, extremities, and scalp.
The dermatology service was consulted to evaluate for disseminated
herpes simplex virus.
Family History: mother never developed several teeth
Physical Exam: Erythematous plaques with pustules across
trunk, scalp and extremities. Arranged in linear-whirled fashion
(Figures 1-3).
Laboratory data: non-contributory
