History: 54 year-old African American man presents with a rash on his chest and back. The patient reports the sudden appearance of red bumps on his back and chest that started approximately 3 months ago. The bumps are not bothersome but have progressed in size and number.  He denies a prior history of similar lesions. He denies history of syphilis or HIV.  He denies recent travel, unusual exposures, or identifiable triggers.

 

Past Medical History: Hypertension

Allergies: No known drug allergies

Medications: Triamterene

Social History: Denies alcohol, smoking, or illicit drug use

Family History: Non-contributory

ROS: No fevers, chills, shortness of breath, or weight changes
