History: 21-year-old African American female with a history of a diffuse rash for six months. She notes that it began on her arms and spread to her trunk, neck and lower extremities. It has been very pruritic and she was prescribed topical triamcinolone, which has not helped. She also notes that she was recently pregnant and delivered via c-section one month prior to the onset of the rash. She denies ever having this rash in the past.


PMH/PSH: eczema, s/p c-section 7 months prior


FMH: no family members with similar rash


Medications: triamcinolone (topical), iron


PE: follicular flat-topped papules involving the neck (Fig 1), trunk and extremities (Fig 2)
