Format

A dermatology resident will greet you and assign you to a patient room. Approximately 30-50 physicians, including Washington University and St. Louis community dermatologists, residents, and medical students, will rotate through the patient rooms. They may ask questions about your skin condition and medical history. You may wear a bathing suit under your clothes or wear a provided examination gown if your skin findings are in an area normally covered by clothing.

Photography

Photographs will be taken of your skin findings to present at the conference. We make every effort to avoid photos of identifiable areas, such as your entire face. If you do not wish to have your photograph taken, please let us know. We also use these photos for teaching medical students and dermatology residents.

We hope this will be an interesting, informative and enjoyable experience for you. You will have the opportunity to see many doctors at once, and have your case discussed by nationally-recognized dermatologists.
