The Washington University dermatology residency program provides a comprehensive didactic curriculum to complement clinical training. Didactic sessions are protected during the three-year training period, and include both faculty- and peer-led teaching covering the breadth of dermatology knowledge in an in-depth, accessible, and integrated manner.
General weekly schedule:
- Mondays, 7:15-8 am: Slide conference (once a month surgery/aesthetic lecture)
- Tuesdays, 7:15-8 am: Dermatopathology lectures and unknowns
- Thursdays, 8-11:30 am: Grand Rounds, Journal Club, attending lectures
Hands-on procedural sessions for cosmetics, lasers, and sclerotherapy also occur throughout the year, replacing a Thursday morning Grand Rounds session.
