Dr. Kandice Bailey PGY-2 was recently accepted into the Wash U Internal Medicine Residency Teaching Physicians Pathway. She is our third resident to participate in this innovative program that was developed by Dr. Patricia Kao. The Teaching Physician Pathway is a 2-year program integrated into the existing structure of the residency program. This pathway prepares interested residents with the knowledge, skills, experience and mentorship to develop as competent, inspired and scholarly clinician-educators. Key areas for resident development include classroom and clinical teaching in a variety of settings, curriculum development and assessment, educational scholarship and leadership. While in the program, Dr. Bailey will integrate her passions for healthcare disparities and racial inequities with her interests in academic medicine and Dermatology. Join us in congratulating Dr. Bailey on this achievement.
